Yes, yes, absolutely use the kill. godmode or The Cow King, probably. Maybe garroad_ran, too. Of course, that might be a bit suspicious.
I sent a PM to Abysmal Lynx regarding the joining of forces. Here is the convo so far:
MrBlarney: Is it possible for minority group cells (e.g. Sane and Self-Committed) to band together, as a game mechanic? Abysmal Lynx: A realization must be come to before harmony can be achieved. MrBlarney: I wish to follow up on this. I want our group to combine forces with HeavyVillain. We have recognized our complementary abilities and wish to band together as a single unit. Abysmal Lynx: Such decisions shouldn't be made lightly. I would like to know your motivation. Why do you feel you can trust them over the others? MrBlarney: From their reports, they are our complement. They have the same passive ability as us, the ability to know players' alignments upon death, and their group active ability to kill a player on odd days complements our ability to kill on even days. In addition, we both have the same quirk that we see our own members' deaths as Sane, while all others see them as Insane. While there may be another pair of groups out there with similar abilities, the connection that we have formed is strongest of all possibilities found so far. It seems best to make this bond first, before moving on to other potentials.
I'm going to do some IRC chat with godmode. Let's see if we can solve this mystery for once and for all.

OK, Abysmal Lynx, you can't close the vote early. We still have our ability to use!
On the plus side, we do have official go-ahead to combine forces with HeavyVillain.

I vote we kill no one, just today. Let's give (the day of) peace a chance, just this once.

Conversations with godmode have progressed stunningly. He is part of a faction of "sane" individuals controlling an odd kill. Five members at the start. Death-tracing passive group ability. Sound familiar? Apparently he has been trying desperately to team together the other even-kill faction that is his faction's complement. Even more familiar.
It would appear that at the start of the game there were four groups of five that were told that they were "Sane". Each had a group passive ability to trace alignments, but only saw their own as "Sane" - others were seen as Insane. Each group had a 'half' kill: two even and two odd. The low power of each group was an immediate clue that an alliance would need to be struck between a complementary group. But I only started to have an inkling that there was a second pair of even-odd "Sane" groups at the end of last night's activities.
So it would seem as though we are attempting to go for a "day of peace" ending, where the riots end and the remaining staff has no reason to keep up their aggression. Alternatively, should that plan not work, we can always band together as a "Sane" supergroup to overtake the asylum and kill all who oppose the group's will. I am obtaining the other groups' member lists now. The Player List will be updated accordingly.

Honestly, our win condition is to be the last surviving people, and I kinda want to fulfill it. Burn the asylum to the ground!

And, hey. If we start to lose some people, we can calm down and claim victory with everyone else!
Everybody wins! Unless we win our exclusive win.
Then it's just us.
